Reunion Books 4 U

Let me introduce myself,

My name is Claire and I have recently started a business researching, writing and formatting reunion and family history books.

I have been researching family history for my children over the last 10 years, starting with the Plaisted Family of Australia and New Zealand, this is my on-going project.  I have also written two small books for my father in law, which was given to him on his 80th birthday.  I have learnt a lot over the years, gaining knowledge of how to use internet sites, reference books and fiche. Though I still am an amateur genealogist, my skills in various areas have grown, and are still growing.

My first published book is called "Descendants of the Polish Alfuth Line of New Zealand 2012".  Though this book was for a part of my husbands family, it included a lot of background and history about why these familes came to New Zealand, how they got here and what was happening in their own countries at that particular time.

I am currently working on my second book, which is to be published in September 2012. This family history book is based in Gloucestershire, England, and goes back to the early 1600s.  It has been a very interesting project so far, gathering family information and researching history of the villages in which these familes lived.  I was given five names to start with and have since extended that to over two hundred, although some of the research still needs proving with certificates. Once I have compiled the research, information and photos, I look forward to this book being given to the family for them to enjoy. This book is being written as a birthday gift from a daughter to her father.
